New Functions Compete for Owners Attention
The first iPhone wasn’t much, but it introduced a radical feature to smartphones: the Appstore. As found by the latest Wakenya Study, the top used applications in Kenya are for Chatting at 67%, Music and Internet (both at 57%) and Camera at 56%. Mobile money, which made Kenya famous, is at 53%. Only the imitation of Apple’s iPhone and Appstore by more affordable competitors made these functions an accessible and enjoyable experience. Should Kenyans thank Steve Jobs for this?
