Kenyan youth want to have it all when it comes to mobile network operators as shown by Consumer Insight’s Holla Report.
Specifically, 33% of youth admit to owning more than one SIM card, with college-graduates and those belonging to a higher socio-economic class being more likely to own several SIM cards. Expectedly, 98% of those with multi-SIMs own a Safaricom line. All this goes to show that youth have no qualms killing two birds with one phone.
|This article is condensed from Holla, Consumer Insight's biennial youth study that documents the changing trends of the youth of East Africa. Using a sample of 1,200 youths per country, the study uses a structured questionnaire to talk to male and female youth aged 7 to 24, living in urban and peri-urban areas and collects data on their lifestyle choices, media exposure and usage, and last but not least, product usage habits.|
